Excluded occupations for Death and TPD insurance

Excluded Occupations

Some occupations are ineligible for insurance cover under our Personal Super Plan. Review our list to see if you need to make alternative insurance arrangements.

We’re here
to help.

If you are:

  • a Personal Super Plan Member, or
  • an Employer Sponsored Industry Member and you are applying for cover that is not default cover provided to you automatically

you may be ineligible for Death and/or Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance  cover because you're employed in an excluded occupation. Review our excluded occupation list to see if you need to make alternative insurance arrangements.

If you have questions, contact us. We’re here to help.

What occupations are excluded?

Some occupations are ineligible for Death and/or TPD insurance cover available through Hostplus because of their nature and the risk they hold.

Please see this downloadable list to find out if your occupation is eligible for cover or if you need to make alternative insurance arrangements.

Contact us if you're not sure if this excluded occupation list applies to you.
