The potential for high growth

Shares Plus is an investment option with the potential for high growth and suits members comfortable with a greater level of risk. If you’ve got a longer time frame and prefer a more aggressive investment style, this option might be for you.

A focus on growth

Shares Plus is a pre-mixed option, meaning it invests in different types of assets, including listed equities, private equity, property, infrastructure, credit and alternatives. As the name suggests, its primary focus is on Australian and international shares, as these have the potential to provide strong capital growth. There is a lower allocation to assets with defensive characteristics.

A top performer

The Shares Plus option ranks in the top quartile for investment returns over 10 and 20 years, compared to other Growth options tracked by SuperRatings.1

Who is Shares Plus suitable for?

Members with a five years–plus investment time frame who are seeking a diversified and pre-mixed investment option.

Compared to our Balanced option, Shares Plus has been designed for members seeking a higher allocation to growth assets, being listed equities (shares) and a lower allocation to assets with defensive characteristics, such as fixed interest and cash. It has the highest exposure to growth assets and is therefore the least risk averse of our pre-mixed investment options.
